Rotating
Groups
|
There are four rotating groups of
children, each with two permanently assigned
teachers. The groups are named for endangered
animals, various countries, Native American
tribes, etc., which give a link to the
curriculum. Students are not grouped
chronologically, but rather by maturity, ability,
activity and how often they come to school. |
Open
Door Policy
|
Parents and visitors are always
welcome. We encourage interest and participation
from our parents. Visitors are welcome to observe
our program as long as they do not interfere with
the learning process. An appointment is suggested
if a guided tour is desired. We request that an
appointment be made to discuss the child's
progress. |
Parent-Teacher
Conferences
|
There is one written evaluation
and two personal conferences each year for each
child. Additional conferences may be scheduled at
any time during the year at parental or staff
request. |
Kinderplatz
Handbook
|
A handbook containing our program
statement, philosophy, curriculum outline, staff
information, calendar of events, holidays and
other basic information is given to each family
as soon as possible after the beginning of the
fall semester. |
Faculty
& Student Directory
|
A directory containing names and
addresses of students and their parents, along
with short biographies of KFA staff members is
distributed to all parents in the fall. |
